Salsa ON1 / LEVELS 1 & 2
This Salsa On1 class is suitable for both those at Beginner level 1 and level 2. Those without previous experience Salsa dancing, will be able to keep up while learning the basic steps. At the same time, those already familiar with Salsa On1 will continue to progress with Level 2 styling options and be challenged with refining movements during partner work.
The goal is to learn basic footwork, partnering skills, principles of timing, and eventually variations of shines and turn patterns. No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
It should be noted, that while the pattern of dance steps for On1 & On2 are much the same, the timing is different. It is advised that those new to Salsa, stick with one style (On1 or On2) for their first 4 week cycle. If you are learning in order to go out dancing socially, geography can play a roll in which style of Salsa is better to learn first.
This 4-week course is for new students who want to learn and master the fundamentals of dancing Salsa On1. Consistency is key to ensure you are confident on the dance floor!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring a partner?
No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
Do I need special shoes?
Beginners can start with street shoes or dress shoes that have ankle-straps (support) with medium-height heels or any flat-bottom shoes or regular dancing shoes. Avoid wearing shoes that have thick rubber soles such as sneakers, clogs, boots or flip-flops.
I can't make it to my class, can I switch days?
Salsa On1 is only offered once per week at this time.
If you will miss a class, it is your responsibility to make up the work. Please message us to let us know before the class begins if you would like the lesson to be recorded and a copy of the video made available to you.
Do you offer online classes?
Not at this time.
Can I use my purchased package next cycle?
All sales are non-refundable. You must complete use all 4 classes in the current cycle. It cannot be used or extended for future workshops/cycles. It cannot be shared or transferred to another person.
Can I pay cash at the door?
All students must pay in advance. If you wish to pay in cash you must be in class no later than 10 minutes before the class starts to register and pay.
What does the Unlimited Package include?
The Unlimited Package grants you access to all of the group classes available for 30 days at no additional cost.
