Salsa Beginner / LEVEL 2
Beginner / Level 2 is for Salsa Beginners who already know the 20 shines (basic steps) taught in Level 1.
The goal is to learn basic footwork, partnering skills, principles of timing, and eventually variations of shines and turn patterns. No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
In this 4-week course we will cover basic steps & turns, timing & musicality, balance & weight change, and arm styling. Once you've completed this course you will be prepared to take on any class or social. Consistency is key to ensure you are confident on the dance floor!
While drop-ins will be permitted for this class, each lesson builds on the last. The class will progress at the speed of those who have paid for the full cycle and are attending every class. If you choose to take this class only occasionally as a dropped-in, you risk not being able to keep up with the class.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring a partner?
No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
Do I need special shoes?
Beginners can start with street shoes or dress shoes that have ankle-straps (support) with medium-height heels or any flat-bottom shoes or regular dancing shoes. Avoid wearing shoes that have thick rubber soles such as sneakers, clogs, boots or flip-flops.
I can't make it to my class, can I switch days?
Yes - Tuesdays and Saturdays teach the same content within the same week. If you need to swap a class - please message us and let us know to update your reservation. However, if you are already attending both days as part of an 8 Class Package, you are already taking all the Beginner Level 2 classes available and there are no refunds for missed days.
Do you offer online classes?
Not at this time.
Can I use my purchased package next cycle?
All sales are non-refundable. You must complete use all 4 classes in the current cycle. It cannot be used or extended for future workshops/cycles. It cannot be shared or transferred to another person.
Can I pay cash at the door?
All students must pay in advance. If you wish to pay in cash you must be in class no later than 10 minutes before the class starts, to register and pay.
