Lehigh Valley Salsa Social Schedule
December 4-week Cycle
Starts on
Dec 3, 5, & 7
PreBeginner / Level 1 is for those just starting out in Salsa. It is designed so even students with no experience and two left feet can pick up the moves. This class covers over 20 different basic steps you can use dancing by yourself or with a partner. By the end of this 1 month cycle you will be dancing!
Level 2 Beginners is the next level for students who have completed at least one cycle of Level 1 with a strong foundation of Salsa. Before you sign up for level 2, you should already know 20 shines (basic steps).
The goal is to learn basic footwork, partnering skills, principles of timing, and eventually variations of shines and turn patterns. No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
Intermediate Level 3 is the next level for students with a strong foundation of Salsa or who have completed at least three cycles of Level 2. Intermediate focuses on timing and polishing the Salsa basics in addition to introducing more complex turns, styling, and patterns.
Level 4 Intermediate is the next level class and the highest level we offer at this time. This class is for the more experienced dancer and those who want a challenge with Salsa ON2. In Level 4 you will learn new and more complex patterns .
Bachata / Level 1 is for Beginners who already know their 5 to 10 basic steps.
The goal is to learn basic footwork, partnering skills, principles of timing, and eventually variations of shines and turn patterns. No need to bring a partner, as we rotate frequently to ensure even partnering.
Salsa On1 (also sometimes known as LA Style), has a similar pattern to the Salsa steps of On2, but with different timing. Where On2 is sometimes said to be dancing on the instruments of the clave or conga, Salsa On1 leans more into the cow bell (or campana).
